Estimator, Construction, Civil Engineering

King Asphalt, Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, detail-oriented and driven. Previous experience in heavy civil construction is preferred. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with an outstanding benefits package.

• Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, vendors and subcontractors.
• Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and current projects.
• Understand scope of work, take-off and quantify, and prepare estimates to bid heavy civil projects.
• Contact and manage bid pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure timely completion of estimates.

• 3+ years’ experience in construction estimating.
• Able to read civil plans and develop cost estimates.
• Strong understanding of construction processes.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
• Impeccable problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

• AAS in Construction Engineering Technology (or similar), BS in Construction Science, BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
