As our company continues to grow, we are seeking a Landscape Project Manager to oversee multiple residential landscape construction projects throughout the Charlotte metro area.
Position SummaryThe Landscape Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and successfully delivering multiple landscape construction projects from pre-construction through final completion.
This position serves as the primary field leader, working closely with customers, crews, sub-contractors, vendors, and office staff to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to Vision Design Build's quality standards.
The Project Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and plays a key role in maintaining our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities Project Management- Manage multiple landscape construction projects simultaneously.
- Conduct pre-construction site walkthroughs and project reviews.
- Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and budgets.
- Develop project schedules and manage timelines.
- Coordinate material procurement and jobsite deliveries.
- Monitor project costs and submit change orders when necessary.
- Complete project punch lists and ensure successful project closeout.
- Manage and support multiple installation crews.
- Schedule daily work assignments and prioritize project activities.
- Ensure crews have the equipment, tools, and materials needed each day.
- Promote a positive, productive, and professional work environment.
- Enforce company safety policies and OSHA best practices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners during construction.
- Meet with customers onsite to review project progress and address concerns.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and utility providers.
- Maintain clear communication with the Vice President of Operations regarding project status.
- Ensure all installations meet Vision Design Build quality standards.
- Verify compliance with landscape plans and construction details.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Ensure projects comply with local building codes, permitting requirements, and inspections.
- Maintain accurate project records and daily documentation.
- Track labor, materials, equipment usage, and production.
- Submit weekly project status updates.
- Assist with maintaining company nursery inventory and hardscape materials.
- Minimum 8 years of landscape construction experience.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction methods and sequencing.
- Ability to read landscape, grading, drainage, and architectural plans.
- Experience managing project budgets and change orders.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
Experience managing hardscape construction including:
- Retaining walls
- Fireplaces
- Masonry features
Experience with:
- Irrigation systems
- Drainage solutions
- Plant installations
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, Agronomy, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Knowledge of local permitting and inspection requirements.
