PROJECT SAFETY MANAGER – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION

Full-Time | Long-Term Project
Red Moon Elite is seeking an experienced Project Safety Manager to support a large-scale electrical construction project in the Charlotte, NC area.
This individual will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site safety operations, ensuring compliance with project safety requirements, OSHA regulations, and company policies. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working directly in the field with project management, superintendents, subcontractors, and craft personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and implement the project-specific safety program.
- Conduct and document daily jobsite safety inspections/audits
. - Identify unsafe conditions or work practices and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Enforce OSHA, company, GC/owner, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct new-hire/contractor safety orientations as required.
- Participate in pre-job meetings, weekly coordination meetings, and safety meetings.
- Work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to plan work safely and minimize hazards.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and root causes and maintain proper documentation.
- Maintain safety records, incident reports, and required project documentation.
- Maintain Hazard Communication/SDS documentation and hazardous-material inventories.
- Monitor fire prevention, traffic control, first-aid supplies, PPE, and other site safety requirements.
- Provide periodic/monthly safety reports to project leadership.
- Immediately address imminent-danger situations and exercise stop-work authority when an operation could result in serious injury or loss of life.
- Promote a strong safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
- Previous construction safety management experience required
. - Electrical construction experience is strongly preferred
. - Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards and jobsite safety practices.
- Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, orientations, and corrective actions.
- Ability to work effectively with field employees, subcontractors, superintendents, and project management.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be comfortable working full-time in an active construction environment.
- OSHA 30 and additional recognized safety certifications are preferred.
