We are seeking a Behavior Specialist who is a certified teacher with strong, hands‑on experience managing significant student behaviors in a classroom setting. This role is ideal for educators with a background in Emotional Disabilities (ED) who are skilled in proactive behavior supports, de‑escalation strategies, and creating structured, supportive learning environments.

• Provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students with emotional and behavioral needs
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and positive behavior supports (PBIS)
• Collaborate with special education teams, administrators, and related service providers
• Support classroom staff with behavior strategies, data collection, and interventions
• Use de‑escalation techniques and trauma‑informed practices to maintain a safe learning environment
• Collect and analyze behavior data to guide instructional and behavioral decisions
• Maintain compliance with IEPs, behavior plans, and district/state guidelines

• Active teaching certification (Special Education preferred)
• Direct classroom experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges
• Background in Emotional Disabilities (ED) strongly preferred
• Experience with behavior management, crisis intervention, and behavior plans
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Experience in ED, LD, or Multi‑Categorical classrooms
• Familiarity with PBIS, ABA‑informed strategies, or behavior tracking systems
• CPI, Safety‑Care, or similar behavior/crisis training

• Supportive school leadership and collaborative team environment
