Position:
Mathematics Instructor - 19168 at Piedmont Technical College
We are looking for an instructor to teach mathematics courses and support the department through assessment, student advisement, registration, recruitment, retention, outreach, and committees.
Responsibilities may include:
- Teaching mathematics courses at the associate degree level designed for transfer to the baccalaureate.
- Conducting assessment functions to evaluate student learning.
- Providing student advisement, registration, recruitment, and retention activities.
- Engaging in college outreach and serving on relevant committees.
- Participating in departmental, division, and college planning sessions and communicating the college’s mission and goals.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate or master’s degree in mathematics or a master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline.
- A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline.
- Experience teaching associate‑degree mathematics courses with a focus on transfer to the baccalaureate.
