Position Information
Winthrop Position Title TRiO Tutor FWS Job Purpose
To assist TRiO students with difficult classes. To get students into the habit of asking for help when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Check students in and out of TRiO Tutoring Lab
Devise a plan of success for tutees
Complete a write up after tutoring session is complete
Follow up with students after tutoring
Qualifications
Undergraduate or Graduate Student
Must have earned an A or B in the course they are tutoring
Preferred Skills
Be able to communicate concepts to students
Be warm and inviting to students
Pay Rate 11/hr Type of Position Federal Work Study Position Level Undergraduate Hours Per Week 15
