WPC Student Ministries 2026 Summer Intern Application
Our Summer Staff comprises college-age adults committed to serving God by ministering to Westminster Presbyterian Church’s youth and families. Prayerfully consider joining us this Summer for a joyful, Christ-centered opportunity to minister to middle and high school aged students love the work we do, and we long to live out the Gospel before our students as a team of staff, students, and volunteers.
We acknowledge this position is, by nature, a service-oriented position, but we seek to ensure it is also a fair position. We wish to work together to present the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to our students in word, action, and prayer. Therefore, we do ministry together in a sustainable, Christ-centered, gracious, and winsome fashion. We commit to train, support, and equip our Summer Staff with tools for ministry and to ensure staff members do not exhaust themselves over the course of the Summer.
We also expect our summer staff to take this job seriously.
Summer Staff is a full-time commitment starting Tuesday, May 26th, 2026
, and ending Thursday, July 30th, 2026
. You will receive a stipend for the summer and housing if you are not from Rock Hill. We base decisions upon this completed application (including two references) and an interview with the Youth Staff. We reserve the right to terminate your position at any time for unbiblical conduct, safety concerns, or anything detrimental to the body of Christ.
We hire college-aged individuals who demonstrate a lifestyle committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to develop and nurture our vision, “helping people find hope, freedom and purpose in Jesus,” in the lives of our students and their families.
Responsibilities- Attend all student ministry summer events, including Sunday morning worship (9am/11am) and Sunday School (10am)
- Attend The Edge (June) and High School Retreat (July) as required by the ministry
- Be responsible for meeting with students over coffee, meals, and fellowship activities
- Work full time hours
- Complete a curriculum which further trains and equips the intern in relational ministry
- Accomplish appropriate tasks on an as-needed basis throughout the summer
- Have a lot of fun
- Receive two full days off each week (except for during Project Sweat and The Edge)
- Receive time off during the week of July 4 and upon return from Project Sweat and The Edge
- Receive a stipend for the summer, housing (if from out of town), and the resources needed to complete the internship. This includes but is not limited to books, reimbursed food and activity expenses during the course of ministry, and reimbursed mileage
- Receive support from the Student Ministries Staff to accomplish the necessary tasks of ministry
