Winthrop University is seeking applicants with expertise in organic or biochemistry for a multi-year, non-tenure-track Instructor of Chemistry position, employment to begin August 2027.
The Chemistry Department (https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) hosts ACS-approved and ASBMB-accredited chemistry and biochemistry undergraduate programs focused on student professional development and career readiness. The department offers small classes with rigorous, innovative curricula and emphasizes year-round engagement in national-caliber undergraduate research. The successful candidate will join a collegial team of 10 other full-time chemistry/biochemistry faculty and two support scientists housed in modern facilities, including newly renovated teaching labs and excellent instrumentation for teaching and research.

Position ResponsibilitiesFull-time, multi-year, non-tenure-track appointment; renewable, with instructional duties during the academic years (9 months, Aug. 16 – May 15), and the option to teach (or not) during the summers for additional compensation.
