Job Overview

Join Atlas Copco Compressors LLC as a Production Test Technician, playing a vital role in assuring the superior quality, reliability, and safety of our compressor systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the design and optimization of advanced testing strategies that guarantee product excellence and foster continuous manufacturing improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Perform precision shaft alignment using laser shaft alignment tools (core responsibility).
  • Conduct mechanical tests on centrifugal blowers, compressors, and dryers following established procedures.
  • Record and analyze vibration, pressure, and temperature data during testing.
  • Set up electrical and mechanical input/output connections, including auxiliary equipment such as soft starters and water‑cooling towers.
  • Generate accurate and detailed test reports using Windows‑based software.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Communicate test findings, anomalies, and improvement recommendations to the engineering team.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during test operations.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in mechanical testing of rotating machinery (e.g., blowers, compressors, dryers).
  • Proficient in using laser shaft alignment tools.
  • Ability to measure vibration, pressure, and temperature using appropriate instruments.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical connections for industrial equipment.
  • Proficient with Windows‑based computers and software for generating test reports.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with soft starters, water‑cooling towers, or similar auxiliary equipment.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or test lab environment.
Educational Requirements

A master’s degree or advanced qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or a closely related discipline is highly advantageous. Candidates with significant practical experience coupled with relevant academic credentials will be strongly considered.
