Job Overview
Join Atlas Copco Compressors LLC as a Production Test Technician, playing a vital role in assuring the superior quality, reliability, and safety of our compressor systems. This position offers a unique opportunity to spearhead the design and optimization of advanced testing strategies that guarantee product excellence and foster continuous manufacturing improvements.
Responsibilities- Perform precision shaft alignment using laser shaft alignment tools (core responsibility).
- Conduct mechanical tests on centrifugal blowers, compressors, and dryers following established procedures.
- Record and analyze vibration, pressure, and temperature data during testing.
- Set up electrical and mechanical input/output connections, including auxiliary equipment such as soft starters and water‑cooling towers.
- Generate accurate and detailed test reports using Windows‑based software.
- Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Communicate test findings, anomalies, and improvement recommendations to the engineering team.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures during test operations.
- Experience in mechanical testing of rotating machinery (e.g., blowers, compressors, dryers).
- Proficient in using laser shaft alignment tools.
- Ability to measure vibration, pressure, and temperature using appropriate instruments.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical connections for industrial equipment.
- Proficient with Windows‑based computers and software for generating test reports.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with soft starters, water‑cooling towers, or similar auxiliary equipment.
- Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and quality standards.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or test lab environment.
A master’s degree or advanced qualifications in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, or a closely related discipline is highly advantageous. Candidates with significant practical experience coupled with relevant academic credentials will be strongly considered.
