Principal Engineer; Mechanical Testing

About the role:

As a Principal Commissioning Engineer – Mechanical Testing, you will be responsible for leading development of Westinghouse products in support of the APx Commissioning organization. You will establish the standard commissioning program and procedures and support infrastructure development needed to support the various scopes.

You will report to the Commissioning Manager and will be located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Township, PA. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

• Develop and maintain the standard commissioning program strategy document.
• Develop and maintain system/plant turnover process.
• Develop/maintain system scoping & turnover documents and drawings.
• Revision / Development of Pre‑op and Start‑up test procedures and test specifications.
• Identify and support procurement of specialty test equipment.
• Support APX project teams as requested.
• Support the APx Project Development group responding to customer requests for information.

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience with the operations of nuclear power plants.
• Understanding of ITAACs (Inspections, Tests, Analysis, Acceptance Criteria).

• Understanding of the AP1000 COL process.
• Understanding of AP1000 ITAACs and their use in the delivery of the AP1000.
• AP1000 plant commissioning/testing experience.
• Project Management skills.
• Familiarity with testing and testing analysis.
• Technical background.
• Understanding of project priorities and teamwork abilities.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Experience leading engineers in the execution of complex tasks.

Base salary range: $103,200 to $129,000 per year, dependent upon experience, qualifications, and skills.
