GTE DLE Gas Path Mechanical Engineer

• Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross‑functionally to continuously drive improvements and disposition deviant hardware quickly while maintaining optimal quality for our customers.
• Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, and new equipment.
• Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement new ideas that enhance overall function of parts, reduce cost, and add value.
• Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens & Lean Action Workouts.
• Support design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent engineering.
• Engage proactively in quality to reduce defects and pursue process improvements.
• Support qualification guidelines, specifications, and top manufacturing issues.
• Develop and qualify special processes—castings, coatings, hole drilling, etc.
• Cultivate teamwork, maintain a positive working environment, and drive urgency and quality with speed.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• 2+ years of turbine engineering experience.
• 1+ year of shop/manufacturing experience.
• Well versed in lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control.
• Deep technical background on HGP components, including NX and GD&T.
• Ability to build trust with team members and interfacing organizations.
• Experience and familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes.
• Customer satisfaction mindset with strong quality orientation.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo and deliver the best GE products.
