2.6e Combustor Team, you will contribute to delivering high‑quality products across multiple platforms that differentiate GE Vernova from its competition. In this role, you will be an active contributor and, as a lead mechanical design engineer, will design and create solutions for the most advanced and highest‑performing combustion systems on the market.
- Design HA DLN
2.6e combustion systems using hand calculations, 3D modeling software, finite element analysis (FEA), and component and rig testing to meet program requirements. - Communicate technical risk to stakeholders.
- Drive product quality through completion of design stack‑ups and robust qualifications.
- Work cross‑functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver high‑quality products on time.
- Implement lean and continuous improvement practices in engineering tasks.
- Document work clearly and present effectively in formal and informal reviews.
- Lead small focused projects to support larger programs.
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience that is equal to a bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years or more of combustion design experience.
- Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience in design for manufacturing and/or design for additive manufacturing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across competing priorities.
- Proven capability in collaborating with global teams.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
