Superintendent – Electrical Engineer; Mining​/High Voltage Safety

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Superintendent to support electrical safety and engineering operations at a mining facility in Lancaster County, South Carolina
.

This role is responsible for managing the site's Electrical Safety Management System (ESMS), ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and electrical safety requirements while providing technical leadership for high-voltage electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in high voltage power systems, electrical safety management, mining/heavy industrial environments, and regulatory compliance
.

• Lead and maintain the site's Electrical Safety Management System (ESMS).
• Manage electrical safety programs, procedures, standards, and risk assessments.
• Provide engineering support for medium/high voltage electrical systems (1kV-35kV).
• Support electrical maintenance teams with troubleshooting, design reviews, and technical guidance.
• Ensure compliance with:
  • MSHA regulations (30 CFR Parts 56/57)
  • NFPA 70E
  • NFPA 70B
  • NEC standards
• Lead electrical incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform electrical safety audits and improve safety processes.
• Support high voltage systems including:
  • Switchgear
  • Transformers
  • Protection systems
  • Cable systems
  • Grounding systems

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience in:
  • Mining
  • Heavy industrial
  • Resources
• Experience with medium/high voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with electrical safety programs and compliance.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or eligibility to obtain PE license.
• Experience with NFPA 70E and electrical safety standards.
