Lumos has an exciting opportunity for a Director – OSP Construction in our South Carolina Markets! If you’re a senior leader in telecomm & FTTH construction who’s excited for a fast-paced experience, ready to help us grow, and ready to recommend process changes that ensure we’re harnessing our technology to the best of our ability while broadening our ability to set up and maintain our service, we want to hear from you!

Our Directors have end-to-end market responsibility for outside plant (OSP) infrastructure including market expansion & network maintenance - in alignment with budget and milestone forecasts. They lead teams of construction & engineering professionals to achieve safe & productive builds, continuous process improvement & best practices, and collaboration with internal & external stakeholders.

• Directs the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple large scale business projects
• Leads the OSP Engineering & Construction teams assigned to specific markets - managers, engineers, construction professionals & contractor teams.
• Aligns market build plans & operational strategies with Cap Ex & OpEx budgets.
• Sets team vision - fostering continuous improvement and goal alignment.
• Reviews engineering designs to ensure efficient and cost-effective build practices are applied.
• Collaborates across teams prioritize requirements & select and evaluate all vendors.
• Promotes team and work sets the tone for collaborating internally & externally, maintaining process workflow scopes, mitigating risk, and continually improving.
• Develops & maintains professional relationships with colleagues, communities, and vendors.
• Approves the deployment of new projects confirming approved standards & cost impact.
• Drives our safety culture - ensuring continual education & responsible productivity.
• Provides clear, executive level reporting on milestones, status, risks, achievements, processes, methods, technologies & solutions.
• Builds and maintains a high-performing team: selects top-tier candidates, evaluates performance, and identifies training & coaching opportunities.
