- Troubleshoot control system issues during development, commissioning, and production, providing timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Implement and verify safety-related control functions in accordance with applicable safety standards and machine directives.
- Work with electrical designers to define I/O lists, wiring, network architecture, and field instrumentation requirements.
- Follow version control, testing, and documentation best practices, including control system schematics, wiring diagrams, and software revision notes.
- Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams, producing clear manuals and training materials.
- Collaborate with project managers, system integrators, and customers to ensure solutions meet functional requirements, schedules, and budgets.
Qualifications

- 5+ years of hands-on experience developing PLC control software for industrial automation projects.
- Proven experience with PLC platforms (e.g., Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar) and programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagrams).
- Experience designing and building HMI applications (e.g., Factory Talk View, WinCC, Ignition, or equivalent).
- Practical experience with robotics integration, motion control, and fieldbus/industrial network protocols (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA).
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience, including FAT/SAT execution and on-site problem resolution.
- Familiarity with safety systems and standards (e.g., safety PLCs, safety relays, ISO 13849, IEC 61508) and implementing safety-related functions.
- Excellent technical documentation, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work cross-functionally and interact with customers on technical topics.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for commissioning and support as required.
