Buyer II

CL&D, a division of Pro Mach, has an exciting opportunity for a Buyer II based in Rock Hill, SC. This is a hybrid role, three days in the office and two days  CL&D, you'll play a key role in ensuring we have the right materials in place to meet customer demand. As a Buyer II, you'll balance day-to-day purchasing responsibilities with opportunities to improve how we plan, source, and manage inventory.

You'll work closely with internal teams and suppliers to keep operations running efficiently.

What You'll Do
  • Execute purchasing activities to support production, including creating and managing purchase orders based on system demand
  • Review ERP planning signals and take action to meet both planned and firm demand
  • Maintain accurate vendor information, pricing, and purchasing data to ensure reliable planning
  • Monitor supplier performance, including delivery, pricing, and quality, and address issues as they arise
  • Communicate supply risks, delays, and changes so teams can respond quickly
  • Partner with Operations and Quality to resolve material issues and support corrective actions
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, optimize sourcing, and reduce cost or waste
  • Support purchasing for indirect materials and services, including MRO, tooling, facility needs, and equipment
  • Help resolve invoice discrepancies to ensure accurate and timely payment
Who You'll Work With
  • Collaborate with teams across Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and other internal functions
  • Work directly with suppliers and vendors that support CL&D's manufacturing operations
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or materials planning in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and MRP-driven purchasing (Radius experience is a plus)
  • Experience working with raw materials or technical commodities is a plus
  • You communicate clearly, stay organized, and follow through
  • You take ownership, solve problems proactively, and look for ways to improve
  • You're adaptable and comfortable managing changing priorities
