SUMMARY:

Roebuck Landscaping (RL) is seeking a dynamic and business-minded professional to lead our newly revamped Turf Care Division. Reporting to VP of Operations, this role is pivotal in establishing and scaling a high-performing division that aligns with RL’s commitment to excellence. The Director of Turf Care will oversee all aspects of the division, from business strategy and growth to technical execution and team development.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Business Operations & Growth:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the division, including revenue generation, customer acquisition, and service enhancement.
  • Oversee pricing strategies to align with market trends and business profitability goals.
  • Manage division budgets, forecasting, and financial performance.
  • Procure and manage cutting-edge equipment to deliver high-quality services efficiently.

Technical Leadership:

  • Apply deep expertise in turf care, plant health, irrigation repair, and related services to elevate division capabilities.
  • Ensure the delivery of exceptional technical services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct regular assessments of service quality and implement improvements.
  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of skilled professionals to build a high-performing division.
  • Mentor team members, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Build and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance division consistency and efficiency.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Actively seek feedback from customers to improve services and build trust.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all operations comply with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations.
  • Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Support and

Collaboration:

  • Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with other departments and division heads to ensure the seamless delivery of services.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform additional tasks and other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the Turf Care Operations and Roebuck Landscaping.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish a robust business model for the Turf Care Division.
  • Build out and implement comprehensive SOPs.
  • Hire and train the initial team, ensuring alignment with RWNL’s Core Values.
  • Develop a sustainable pipeline for client acquisition and retention.
  • Procure and implement essential equipment for division operations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Turfgrass Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years of management experience in Turf Care or Plant Health
  • Technical Skills:
    Advanced knowledge of turf care, plant health, irrigation systems, and pest management. Proficiency in developing and implementing SOPs.
  • Business Acumen: Proven track record of growing revenue and managing division-level financials.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Positive and solution-based attitude with the capability to address operational and client issues promptly and effectively.
  • Quick Learner: Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic work environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong follow-up and follow-through abilities.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
