Reports to: Process Area Lead
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

As a Team Lead at Barnwell Tissue Solutions, you’ll play a vital leadership role on the production floor. This high-performance, team-based operation relies on your direction and coordination to meet targets in safety, quality, and productivity. You’ll guide your crew, optimize machine operations, and drive continuous improvement by using real-time data to reduce downtime, eliminate waste, and enhance performance.

• Lead daily operations of the paper machine with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Drive team performance through clear communication, direction, and training.
• Collaborate closely with the Process Area Lead to identify and resolve operational issues.
• Develop and help implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), Operator Basic Care (OBC) routes, and process centerlines.
• Manage shift handoffs and ensure all critical information is passed accurately.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics such as uptime, waste, yield, and energy usage.
• Partner with maintenance to schedule and coordinate equipment outages to ensure reliability.
• Support team scheduling, including coverage for vacations and callouts.
• Champion 5S, visual factory practices, and a clean, organized work environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-control initiatives.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4 years of minimum experience in paper making processes and equipment operations
• 2 years relevant industrial experience or college courses in math/science
• Proven ability to lead a team and work independently
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable performing operator maintenance and basic care tasks
• Effective communicator (verbal and written)
• Proficient with basic computer systems and reporting tools
• Committed to safety and continuous learning
• Demonstrates initiative, patience, and professionalism
