I’m partnering with a large, global manufacturing organization to hire a Maintenance Planner / Scheduler to support a high-asset, production-critical facility in Sumter County, South Carolina
.
This role sits within Engineering/Maintenance and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating preventive and planned maintenance activities to maximize asset availability and minimize unplanned downtime.
Role highlights- Plan and schedule PM, CM, outages, and other planned maintenance activities
- Build integrated maintenance schedules aligned with production planning
- Own work order planning, resource allocation, backlog management, and cost control
- Ensure materials, tools, labor, and timing are validated for each job
- Drive maintenance KPIs, planning efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
- 3–5 years in maintenance as a technician or first-line supervisor
- Experience with processing, packaging, utilities, or facility equipment
- Strong maintenance planning & work control fundamentals
- Hands-on CMMS experience (SAP strongly preferred)
- Strong communication and team-oriented mindset
