Material Handler

As a Material Handler, your mission is to play a crucial role in the efficient flow and management of materials within our operations. Your primary objective is to ensure timely and accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials to support production and distribution needs. Utilize your expertise in logistics and inventory management to maintain optimal levels of inventory while minimizing waste and costs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Recognize interruptions to normal material flow and report to team leader.
• Prioritize activities and take necessary actions to meet production targets.
• Assist with the implementation of warehouse and management processes.
• Regular lifting of up to 40 pounds required with no assistance.
• Electric hoist use required (training will be provided on site)
• Daily use of the warehouse management system for locating inventory efficiently.
• Have a high regard for safety and quality standards and make sure housekeeping standards are met daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• PC literate and basic knowledge of:
• MS Office (Word, Excel and Access)
• AS400/ BPCS applications
• Able to work in a team, constructive and positive attitude.
• Clean and orderly
• Accurate and independent

Education and Experience:

• Position requires a high school diploma, orgeneral education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing and/ or warehousing experience required.
• 2 to 3 years of forklift experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times (frequently).

Travel:

Occa sional travel may be required
