The Recruiting Pros are searching for a Continuous Improvement Manager on behalf of a high-volume, high-quality manufacturer in Rock Hill,SC. In this role you will report directly to the Plant Manager and will lead cross-functional teams to follow continuous improvement initiatives focused on measurable results related to safety, quality, delivery,inventory and productivity improvements.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
- Assist Plant Manager in improving manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
- Posses a strong understanding of EHSdisciplines (Environment, Health & Safety) relative to continuous improvement and Six Sigma projects
- Create, initiate and lead continuous improvement projects throughout the plant operations
- Manage a portfolio of lean projects directed at reducing waste and improving quality and value
- Employ such tools as: 5S, KPI, SMED,VSM and Kaizen
- Drive the standardization of processes and the implementation of metrics and best practices to drive desired results
- Effectuate a formal Six Sigma program that targets reduction of process time and product variation using tools like: SPC, SMED, DOE, Process Capability, Pareto Analysis and Fishbone
- Assist in setting and driving annual operational targets
- Mentor and coach Green Belts
- B.S. / B.A. in Engineeringor Industrial related field REQUIRED
- 5-7 years experience in manufacturing operations (preferably in plastics, rubber, chemical or medical industries)
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification with 3-5 years experience
- Proven track record leading high performance teams and attaining results Excellent leadership and communication (verbal and written) skills
