About This Role
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing to join our team. In partnership with the rest of the Chicago Leadership Team, you will play a key role in building and shaping a strong culture at the location, while offering direct coaching and development to our team.
Our state-of-the-art facility in Oak Brook is modern, bright, and creates an inviting therapeutic space for both patients and employees alike.
What You’ll Do- In partnership with the COO, assumes authority, responsibility, and accountability for the delivery of nursing services at the facility
- Manage the various activities of this department and to ensure that proper and timely healthcare is provided to our patients
- Maintain and implement nursing policies and procedures that conform to current standards of nursing practice, facility philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitor staff practices and implementation
- Oversee personnel selection, supervision practices, and ongoing training and evaluation for the nursing department
- Conduct staff nurse evaluations and training regarding clinical practices, EMR use, and Compass Health Center protocols
- Collaborate with staff nurses and treatment team to develop, support and coordinate services that ensure delivery of holistic and individualized quality care to Compass Health Center patients
- Promote customer service and hospitality and responds to and adequately resolves complaints or concerns from patients and their families about nursing services
- Assure staff is trained in fire and disaster and other emergency procedures, and evaluates performance during drills
- Exercise overall related administrative functions and clinical responsibilities within the scope of nursing
- Aptitude to gain working knowledge and expertise of staff nurse duties and responsibilities
- Perform other duties as requested
- Hold a BSN degree
- Registered Nurse with current licensure to practice in Illinois
- Are certified in Healthcare Provider CPR
- 5+ years of progressive nursing experience, ideally with 1+ years of management experience
- Mental health experience
- High degree of leadership, excellent interpersonal communication skills, organizational ability, and time management.
- Possess excellent therapeutic communication skill
- Frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms
- Often required to sit and stoop, kneel, or crouch
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
