Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Clinical Nurse Supervisor to join our team. The Clinical Nurse Supervisor plays a key role in creating a supportive, patient-centered clinic environment. This position leads and mentors nursing staff, helps keep daily operations running smoothly, and ensures patients receive safe, high-quality care. In addition to overseeing clinical operations, the Clinical Nurse Supervisor manages employee health requirements to ensure staff remain compliant and up to date and leads infection prevention and control efforts across the clinic(s).

Working closely with providers and leadership, this role supports regulatory compliance, maintains accreditation standards, and helps build a strong team culture focused on providing excellent, culturally sensitive patient care.

Essential Functions An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:

Supervise and support nursing and clinical support staff, including hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management

Ensure consistent, high-quality patient care by monitoring clinical practices and outcomes.

Serve as a clinical resource for staff, assisting with complex patient care situations when needed.

Coordinate daily clinic operations to maintain patient flow and minimize delays.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies and procedures.

Lead and support regulatory compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and maintaining active accreditation with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), including survey readiness, documentation oversight, and follow-up on any deficiencies.

Oversee documentation accuracy and timely chart completion.

Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in meetings, program planning, evaluations and improvement strategies to minimize problems and optimize operation efficiency.audits and accreditation activities.

Manage inventory of clinical supplies and medications, ensuring proper storage and usage.

Collaborate with providers and leadership to improve patient experience and clinical efficiency.

Address patient concerns or incidents and support resolution and follow-up.

Serve as Employee Health Nurse by managing staff health requirements, including immunizations, screenings, and certifications; monitor and track compliance to ensure no expirations and maintain accurate, up-to-date records

Provide staff education, coaching, and ongoing training.

Lead infection control efforts across the clinic(s), including coordinating annual staff training, conducting routine audits, ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols, and managing all required reporting and follow-up activities.

Display a positive and professional manner and promptly respond to all requests, complaints, and problems.

Follow data privacy guidelines and safeguards and always maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.

Work cooperatively as part of a team and promote teamwork with co-workers.

Qualifications

Experience:

Five (5) to seven (7) years of clinical nursing experience, including two (2) years of supervisory or unit management experience.

Strong knowledge of outpatient clinic operations and patient care standards.

Experience managing employee health programs, including tracking immunizations, screenings, and regulatory requirements; familiarity with occupational health standards preferred.

Experience with infection prevention and control in a clinical setting, including conducting audits, supporting staff training, and ensuring compliance with established protocols.
