• Demonstrates flexibility in responding to unpredicted situations, such as emergencies, assignment and staffing or schedule changes.
• Responds to crisis situations with confidence and clarity, delegating as appropriate to others on the team.
• Sets priorities independently, prepares assignments and duties at the beginning of each shift, adjusting and delegating as situations change on the unit as needed.
• Supports the growth and development of nursing personnel by facilitating assessment of educational needs on an ongoing basis. Takes an active role in educating staff when a need and/or opportunity is identified.
• Assists with evaluation and improvement of patient care by assuring an ongoing unit-based quality-monitoring program to include development and implementation of PI monitors and reports.
• Delegates shift duties appropriately including but not limited to chart checks, defib/refrigerator logs, abnormal lab follow up and documentation, cleaning and stocking rooms, checking rooms for outdated supplies, pulling trash/linen as needed
• Performs related duties as required.

• Education:
  
  Associates degree in Nursing
• Licensure/Certification:
  
  A valid Permanent Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside is required Should you hold a RN license from another Compact state, you are required to apply for and obtain a Multi-State RN License from the state in which you reside within 30 days.
• American Heart Association BLS CPR must be obtained within 7 days of hire. CPI certification with orientation period. Other certifications required are determined by specific unit and is required within orientation period.

  Experience:
  
  2-3 years of Acute Care or comparable experience with demonstrated leadership ability preferred.
