Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU - $35+ per hour

Role Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) CVICU Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation of the cardiovascular intensive care unit. In collaboration with the Director, they ensure high-quality patient care, staff management, fiscal accountability, and achievement of strategic goals. The supervisor promotes a safe environment for patients, staff, families, and visitors while maintaining clinical competency tailored to the patient population.

They demonstrate flexibility in handling emergencies, staffing changes, and crisis situations, delegating tasks effectively. The role involves setting priorities, preparing assignments, and supporting staff development through ongoing assessments and education. Additionally, they monitor and improve patient care quality via unit-based quality programs and PI initiatives, perform routine duties such as chart checks, supply management, and documentation, and perform related tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Associates degree in Nursing required.
  • Valid Multi-State RN License or equivalent, with application to obtain in-state license if necessary.
  • American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required within 7 days of hire.
  • CPI certification with orientation period; other certifications as required within orientation.
  • Preferred: 2-3 years of acute care or similar experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
