Lead Test Technician

As a Production Test Technician at Atlas Copco, you will be an integral part of our manufacturing team, playing a pivotal role in guaranteeing the quality and performance of our advanced compressor products. Your expertise will contribute directly to the reliability and efficiency of equipment used in essential industrial applications worldwide.

Your responsibilities encompass performing detailed mechanical and electronic testing procedures on various rotating machinery, including centrifugal blowers, compressors, and air dryers. Utilizing high-precision tools such as laser shaft alignment systems, vibration analyzers, pressure sensors, and thermal monitoring devices, you will ensure each component meets stringent performance standards before it reaches our customers.

In addition to hands-on testing, you will document, analyze, and report detailed findings, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement. Your keen eye for detail will support the maintenance of thorough records that assist in continuous product development and compliance adherence.

Quality assurance is a fundamental element of your role, involving regular inspections and process audits to uphold operational standards throughout the assembly and testing phases. Collaboration with cross-functional teams—including production operators, engineers, and quality assurance specialists is essential to resolve technical issues swiftly and foster an environment of continuous improvement.

You will also take on a leadership role as a technical mentor, sharing your knowledge and best practices with colleagues to elevate team competence and efficiency. • Experience in mechanical testing of rotating machinery, such as blowers, compressors, dryers, or similar equipment.
• Proficiency using laser shaft alignment tools.
• Ability to measure vibration, pressure, and temperature using appropriate instruments.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical connections for industrial equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot testing and equipment issues.
• Proficient with Windows‑based computers and software for generating test reports.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce clear technical documentation.
• Ability to identify and communicate quality issues.
• Ability to provide technical training and guidance to others.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Previous experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, or similar technical role.
• Experience with compressors, blowers, dryers, or other rotating equipment.
• Experience performing quality inspections or audits.
• Experience with soft starters, water‑cooling towers, or similar auxiliary equipment.
• Previous experience training or mentoring team members.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols and quality standards.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or test lab environment.
