Location: Rock Hill, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Onsite)
Travel: Approximately 25% International Travel
Pay Range: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Assembly Technician to join a growing automation and industrial equipment team in Rock Hill, SC. This role is responsible for wiring advanced control panels, assembling electrical systems, commissioning machinery, and supporting field service activities at customer locations worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical schematics, industrial wiring practices, troubleshooting, and machine integration. This position offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge automation equipment and opportunities for international travel.

Key Responsibilities

Build, Launch & Wire

  • Assemble and wire electrical control panels according to engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Install and integrate electrical components, sensors, drives, motors, and automation systems.
  • Support machine commissioning and startup activities.
  • Verify proper electrical functionality through testing and inspection procedures.

Optimize, Evolve & Troubleshoot

  • Perform machine upgrades, modifications, and system integrations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and corrective repairs.
  • Support customer sites through troubleshooting, commissioning, and technical service activities.

Safety, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety standards and regulations.
  • Follow NFPA, UL, IEC, and company safety guidelines.
  • Maintain quality workmanship and accurate documentation.
  • Verify all wiring, connections, and installations meet engineering specifications.

Travel & Customer Support

  • Travel domestically and internationally to support machine installations, startup activities, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Represent the company professionally while working at customer facilities.
  • Communicate project status, technical issues, and solutions with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in:
    • Mechatronics
    • Electrical Engineering Technology
    • Industrial Automation
    • Related technical field
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment and hand tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working on ladders, platforms, and standing for extended periods
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • 1–2 years of experience in electrical assembly, industrial automation, machine building, or controls
  • Experience with industrial machinery and control systems
  • Exposure to PLC-controlled equipment and automation systems
  • Previous field service or commissioning experience

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 25% travel required
  • Domestic and international travel
  • Weekend availability may be required during customer installations, commissioning, and service projects
  • Ability to adapt to different customer environments and cultures
