The CWS Team Leader - Family Preservation
Supervises child welfare case managers in Kershaw County, South Carolina, ensuring compliance with agency policy and best practices in child safety and family permanency. The role involves case consultation, staff coaching and training, court coordination, and management of the comprehensive Family Advocacy and Support Tool (FAST) assessments. The position reports to the Department of Social Services and requires strong leadership, trauma-informed practice, and commitment to protecting vulnerable children and families.
Keyqualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or Social Science, or Bachelor's Degree in any other field plus one year of related experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle for field work assignments
- Child Welfare experience highly desired
- Maintain child welfare certification and complete 20 hours of training yearly
- Ability to provide direct supervision and conduct performance evaluations
- Understanding of trauma impact and secondary trauma on staff and families
