Position Summary
Sports Academy Trainer I – Part Time
YMCA of Upper Palmetto
Base pay: $20.00/hr – $40.00/hr (actual pay based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter)
- Create written programs for each session.
- Articulate own curriculum for teaching.
- Build relationships with parents and maintain healthy communication about their child's progress.
- Encourage participants to sign up for upcoming sport seasons in the Y’s Youth Sports program.
- Check equipment daily to ensure safety of the athletes.
- Communicate with Sports Director on needs and potential challenges in advance.
- Proof of athlete/coaching experience:
- NCAA Division 2 player or coach
- NAIA player or coach
- Junior College player or coach
- NASM, ACE or YMCA provided Strength and Conditioning Certification
- CPR/First Aid certification (provided by the YMCA)
- Physical requirements:
carrying, seeing, hearing, speaking, running, crouching, lifting (25 lbs) and walking.
