Second Assistant Superintendent

Rock Hill Country Club is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Second Assistant Superintendent. This position offers a great opportunity for a recent turf graduate or an individual looking to further develop their skills, in order to take that next step in their professional development.

Rock Hill Country Club, founded in 1934, is an 18-hole private located in Rock Hill, South Carolina, just 38 minutes south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Working closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and management of our 200-acre facility which consists of Mini Verde ultra dwarf Bermuda grass greens, 419 Bermuda grass fairways and a mix of 419 and Zoysia tees.

Daily tasks are, but not limited to:

• Work Closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent to successfully carry out the yearly maintenance program for the golf course.
• Assist and oversee the daily setup of the golf course.
• Plan and execute pesticide/fertility applications.
• Assigning crew daily jobs when asked to do so.
• ability to organize and execute projects.
• Carry out Irrigation repairs when needed.

• Must have a working knowledge of irrigation systems and ability to troubleshoot and make basic repairs.
• Candidate shall be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Candidate Should also understand and enjoy playing the game of golf
• Candidate needs to have the ability to multitask, motivate team members, and have basic mechanical aptitude.
• Candidates should have the ability to train staff on assignments and equipment when asked to do so.
• Have the ability to lift 50lbs over their head.
