* Establish and provide continuity in office operations through administrative and communication channels, policies, and executive support.
* Provide daily calendar to the Commander/Deputy Commander along with background briefs or data to consider in meetings.
* Review staff studies, analyze findings, advise/suggest additional information necessary for review, assist in problem identification, and formulate recommendations.
* Serve as primary contact for calls and visitors to the Command Group office.
* Use Automated Data-Processing (ADP) equipment/systems to maintain files, transmit information, search/research files and records, and store and extract material from a variety of sources using various software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets).
* Make arrangements and perform detailed coordination for conferences, meetings, etc.
* Utilize and/or modify computer and other programs as required to establish appropriate information systems for the office.
* Arrange for lodging accommodations, itineraries, schedules, and appointments while on business travel, coordination with higher headquarters, and military leave when necessary. Requirements Conditions of employment
* Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
* This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
* Position requires occasional temporary duty (TDY) up to 20%.

For Current, Permanent Federal Service Employees:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service which includes utilizing automated software to create documents and correspondence; assisting in coordinating meetings and conferences; assisting with preparing and reviewing travel documents using a travel management system; and managing suspense dates, maintaining files, and/or managing supervisor's calendar/schedule. For all applicants who are NOT current, permanent Federal service employees:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-08 level in the Federal service which includes utilizing automated software to create documents and correspondence; coordinating meetings and conferences; preparing and reviewing travel documents using a travel management system; and managing suspense dates, maintaining files, and/or managing supervisor's calendar/schedule. Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
