By organizing critical business processes and documentation in SharePoint, you'll help improve efficiency, accelerate onboarding, reduce knowledge loss, and enable employees to quickly access the information and guidance they need.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new function at the intersection of business operations, technology, and AI.

Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation's largest fraternal benefit societies, with over $18 billion assets. Fraternals are unique membership organizations that pair the "member-owned" characteristic of a mutual insurance company with the "social mission" characteristic of a service organization. They unite individuals with common bonds, provide a variety of life insurance and investment products, and form one of the nation's most effective volunteer networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain internal documents, including policies, procedures, and other business content.
  • Design and apply metadata, tagging, and classification standards to improve content searchability and usability.
  • Assist others in moving documents from network drives and paper-based formats into cloud-based systems (SharePoint).
  • Partner with business areas to review, clean up, update, fill gaps, and organize existing documents and content.
  • Support the preparation of content for use in AI tools by ensuring structure, consistency, and completeness.
  • Administer and support the organization's record retention program.
  • Monitor document quality and organization practices to support ongoing maintenance of the knowledge base.
  • Use AI-assisted tools to help accelerate work.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and data teams to align document organization with broader data and AI efforts.

What We Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Information Management, or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in business analysis, content management, records management, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to organize and structure information in a clear, logical, and user-friendly manner.
  • Experience managing documents and content within SharePoint environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and levels of the organization.
  • Familiarity with metadata management, tagging strategies, content classification, and information governance concepts.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technologies, including AI-enabled tools and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented mindset focused on improving how employees access, use, and benefit from organizational information.
