Position Summary:
The Bilingual or ELL Teacher provides direct classroom instruction to Bilingual students, collaborates with teachers, and provides guidance to bilingual teaching assistants.
Qualifications
Required
Education:
* Must possess Illinois Educator License
* Successful completion of a language examination in the non-English language to be taught.
Certifications, Licenses:
Illinois Secondary Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement
Required Experience/
Qualifications:
* Bilingual clinical experience totaling 100 clock hours or three months of teaching experience in bilingual programs
* Participate with other classroom teachers to develop and implement instructional programs and curriculum
* Ability to function effectively as a member of the school staff
Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities
* Knowledge of and ability to speak, read and write in a non-English language
