Location: Quad Cities area, with some travel to participating school sites (must have reliable transportion)

Position Overview

Her Voice Media is seeking a thoughtful, organized, and mission-aligned part-time School-Based Program Lead to help bring our school-based programming to life with care, creativity, and excellence.

The School-Based Program Lead will oversee the day-to-day coordination and quality of Her Voice Media’s school-based programs. This person will help ensure that programming stays organized, facilitators feel prepared and supported, students have what they need to fully participate, and grant activities are completed on schedule.

At the heart of this work is a commitment to creating meaningful, creative, and affirming experiences for girls. Our programming is rooted in storytelling, leadership, mentorship, self-expression, and the belief that every girl’s voice matters.

This role is both practical and people-centered. The ideal candidate can confidently manage timelines, communicate with a team, support program facilitators, track outcomes, and help create spaces where girls feel seen, heard, supported, and encouraged to grow.

Key Responsibilities

The School-Based Program Lead will:

  • Oversee the day-to-day coordination of school-based programming
  • Create program timelines, schedules, deadlines, and implementation plans
  • Help develop and organize curriculum, workshops, and session materials
  • Train, communicate with, and provide ongoing support to program facilitators
  • Ensure facilitators have the supplies, schedules, information, and guidance they need
  • Monitor program progress and help keep activities aligned with grant goals
  • Communicate regularly with the Executive Director and project team
  • Identify challenges and help make thoughtful adjustments when needed
  • Track attendance, participation, student work, facilitator updates, and program outcomes
  • Assist with required grant reports, documentation, and deliverables
  • Support a safe, creative, empowering, and affirming environment for participating girls

These responsibilities reflect the role’s focus on program coordination, facilitator support, outcome tracking, and maintaining the quality and heart of HVM’s programming.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, collaborative, and passionate about youth development. They should be comfortable managing details while also building positive relationships with facilitators, students, schools, and the Her Voice Media team.

Preferred qualifications include:
  • Experience working with youth, schools, nonprofits, arts programs, mentorship initiatives, or community-based organizations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

    Ability to manage timelines, deadlines, schedules, and program details
  • Experience developing or supporting curriculum, workshops, or youth programming
  • Comfort training, guiding, and communicating with program facilitators
  • Ability to collect and organize program data for evaluation and reporting
  • Dependability, flexibility, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Commitment to creating safe and affirming spaces for girls
  • Alignment with Her Voice Media’s mission of uplifting the voices, stories, creativity, and leadership of girls and women
Optional Project Management Responsibilities

Depending on organizational needs and the selected candidate’s experience, this role may expand to include additional project management responsibilities. These may include communicating directly with schools and families, coordinating facilitator schedules, supporting school onboarding, organizing special activities, and serving as a primary contact for program logistics.
