Vice President of Procurement

Performance Food Group seeks a Vice President of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide sourcing for food and related products in the wholesale trade industry. This executive will develop category strategies, negotiate high value contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost, quality, and service targets are met across national distribution networks. The VP will partner with logistics, sales, and operations to optimize supply chain performance, drive savings, mitigate risk, and support growth.

This role will champion PFG's safety-first, customer-centered, and performance-driven culture while leading and developing a high-performing procurement team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement and category strategies for food and related products
• Lead contract negotiations to drive cost savings, quality, and service improvements
• Establish and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance metrics
• Collaborate with logistics, operations, and sales to optimize supply chain efficiency and reliability
• Assess market trends and risks to ensure continuity of supply and competitive pricing
• Oversee procurement budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for senior leadership
• Implement governance, policies, and controls to ensure compliance and ethical sourcing
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement organization
• Drive continuous improvement and digital tools adoption in sourcing and procurement processes
• Support customer-focused initiatives and new business opportunities through strategic sourcing
