POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of theFSQA & EHS Supervisor, the Quality Assurance Technician Iwill  consistently follow processes and procedurestoeffectively measure, evaluate, and test samples of the Company product to ensure it meets food safety, quality, and customer specifications.

This role involves inspecting raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with food safety regulations, company policies, and customer specifications. The QA Technician

Iplaysa critical role inmaintainingproduct consistency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Complies withenforcement of all GMP policies, documentation, and record keepingin accordance with company standards.
  • Assistswithmaintaining Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Conducts daily GMP facility audits with corrective action follow-up.

    EnforcesGMPs at the plant.
  • Reviews and verifies productiondocuments
  • Placesout of specification productor raw materialon hold status.
  • Advisestheappropriatepartyof issuesin a timely manner.
  • Conducts routine inspections and testing of raw materials, products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitors and documents production processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP, and SQF).
  • Assistsin the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment(including metal detection devices) to ensure accuracy.
  • Collectsand records data from quality tests. Prepares reports and provides feedback to the production team.
  • Collaborates with the production team toidentifyand addressfood safety and quality issues in real time.
  • Assistsin the investigation of customer complaints related to product quality and help implement corrective actions.
  • Maintains clean and organized work spaces in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Supports internal audits andparticipatein continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conducts pre-operational inspections at the start of production runs
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Performsotherduties as assigned byFSQA & EHS Supervisor.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Responsible for ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Defense, and SQF Programs.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt well to change.
  • Ability todemonstratestrong teamwork skills,working collaboratively with peers to achieve commongoalsand contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team and supervisors, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in food science, biology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in quality control, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, such as HACCP, GMP, and SQF.

US Hourly Pay Range

$17 - $17 USD
