Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry night shift position in Illinois, requiring active IL and IA RN licenses with prior stepdown experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital stepdown/telemetry unit caring for progressive care patients
- 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
- May be required to float within the same discipline across multiple local hospital campuses
- Typical patient ratio is 1:4-5
- Uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems
- Primary role includes delivering specialized care to patients in a stepdown setting as part of an interdisciplinary team
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Orientation provided with multiple start dates throughout the year
- Travelers may need to provide a recent supervisory reference
- Holiday coverage may be required as assigned
- Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
- Active IA RN license required or proof of application for IA single-state or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown or progressive care experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required from AHA or ARC
- Epic experience is required
- Valid driver's license is required
