• Location: Rock Island, IL 61201 (Quad Cities region) — ideal for Illinois nursing jobs and travel nursing candidates
• Unit: Surgical/Ortho 6S (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Assignment Type: Travel, W2 (travel nursing job)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• End Date: June 22, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,090 – $2,200
• EMR: Epic (experience with Epic EMR preferred)

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg, Post-Op, or Stepdown experience — telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Comfortable managing 5–7 patients per shift in a Med/Surg Telemetry environment
• Active RN license in Illinois or Iowa; compact/reciprocal licenses accepted (compact nurse applicants encouraged)
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS (AHA) preferred
• Experience with surgical and post-op surgical patients required (orthopedic care experience a plus)
• Willingness to float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility (travel nursing requirement)
• Submission materials required: driver’s license, updated resume/work history, skills checklist (within 1 year), license verification, certification copies, and one supervisory reference

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients, including surgical and orthopedic cases
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate appropriately
• Administer medications, manage IV therapies, and document patient care accurately in Epic
• Coordinate patient education, discharge planning, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, PT/OT, case management)
• Maintain patient safety standards, including fall prevention and infection control best practices
• Serve as charge nurse or preceptor for new hires when requested
• Float to similar Med/Surg/Telemetry units within the same discipline as needed
