The Visiting Nurse Association provides a range of home health care services to patients of all ages, from infants to the elderly, in the comfort of their own homes.

With services available in both Iowa and Illinois, we work with patients, families, physicians, and other community agencies to provide the care that you need in your home.

We are looking to hire a Home Health Supervisor. The role provides overall leadership and supervision of nursing and health aide personnel, ensuring adherence to standards, regulations, and fostering clinical growth and critical thinking among staff.

• Exercise overall leadership and supervision of nursing and health aide personnel.
• Ensure adherence to Mercy One standards and community health, IA Nurse Practice Act, and state, federal, and local regulations governing home health care.
• Maintain and develop clinical practice skills, growth, and critical thinking of personnel reporting to the Supervisor.
• Develop competent clinicians who assist patients in achieving optimal clinical outcomes.
• Serve as a member of the VNA administrative team.
• Assure overall agency administration in the absence of the Clinical Manager and Agency Director.

• General Requirements
  • Supervisory responsibility: direct responsibility for a mid-sized department of 10–25 employees, with direct supervision of one or more supervisors.
  • Materials responsibility: moderate control over operating budgets, specialized equipment, or significant material resources.
  • Key relationships with co‑workers, health system employees, external agencies, physicians, patients, families, vendors, and third‑party payors.
• Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Nursing.
  • OASIS Certification within 1 year of hire.
• Licensure & Certification
  • Registered Nurse in Iowa and Illinois.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance meeting Genesis minimum limits.
• Experience
  • More than 3 years of experience in a home health or similar nursing supervisory role.
  • Preceptor experience preferred.

Pay Range: $72,716 – $109,075 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, and certification.
