Maintenance Technician

Location: Rock Island, IL
Job Type: Full-Time

We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a multifamily apartment community in Rock Island, IL. The ideal candidate will have prior apartment maintenance experience, be EPA Certified
, and be comfortable handling a variety of maintenance, repair, HVAC, and make-ready responsibilities.

• Complete apartment make-readies and prepare units for new
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
• Perform general plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and other maintenance issues throughout the community
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections
• Complete unit turns and ensure apartments are ready for occupancy
• Maintain common areas, buildings, and grounds as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas
• Communicate professionally with , management, and team members
• Assist with emergency and after-hours maintenance as needed
• Follow company safety procedures and maintenance standards
  
  Perform other maintenance duties as assigned

• EPA Certification REQUIRED
• Prior multifamily/apartment maintenance experience strongly
• Experience with apartment make-readies and unit turns
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
• General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, and carpentry
• Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete work efficiently
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable transportation and a dependable work history
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical maintenance duties
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed
• CPO certification
