Description
Skip-a-Long Childhood Centers, part of SAL Community Services, is the Quad Cities area’s leading provider of early childhood care and education. We provide a safe, secure and supportive environment centered on how playing can charge the mind of the children we care for.
As a Cook on our team, you will perform day-to-day operations involved in serving of meals and snacks in a child care setting; coordinates menus and various cooking assignments. This means you’ll do things like:
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks for children and staff;
- Operate standard cooking equipment and utensils;
- Participate in the cleaning of kitchen area; and,
- Purchase foods and plans menus in accordance with CACFP guidelines

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A full list of job responsibilities will be provided prior to an interview. Education and Experience
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Preferred: Knowledge of Child and Adult Care Food Program requirements and Food Service Sanitary license.
