- Sets up, enters, and processes payroll for all employees; creates direct deposit files for bank upload.
- Enters and maintains employee direct deposit information in the payroll system.
- Maintains and updates payroll records and files.
- Runs payroll check registers, direct deposit reports, payroll timesheets, and all supporting payroll reports.
- Prepares accounting and payroll reports for campus personnel as requested.
- Generates quarterly payroll reports and all year‑end payroll reports.
- Assists preparation of tax tables for the upcoming calendar year and processing of W‑2 forms with reconciliation to Form 941 and fiscal year‑end payroll reports.
- Prepares quarterly and fiscal year‑end payroll closeouts and clears quarterly totals.
- Processes vouchers and payments to vendors in accordance with College policies and procedures.
- Prepares and processes 1099 forms for vendors as required by IRS regulations.
- Processes student refunds in collaboration with Student Accounts Receivable.
- Transfers students to 95 per request of Accountant.
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Two years of experience in accounting, payroll, or related financial work.
- Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets and accounting software.
- Ability to maintain accuracy while meeting deadlines and handling multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
- Experience with payroll processing and 1099 reporting in a public sector or educational environment.
- Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations, including tax reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with Ellucian/Colleague systems.
Estimated Salary: $22.02 - $25.87 per hour.
FLSA Status:
Non‑Exempt.
