ICU Nurse, Surgical Assistant
Job Description
This 13‑week travel assignment is perfect for experienced PACU nurses seeking a night shift adventure in Rock Springs, Wyoming. You’ll be working 12‑hour night shifts in a busy Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit, providing care for patients recovering from a variety of surgeries including general, orthopedics, ENT, plastics, urology, and pain management procedures. Expect to float to similar departments like same‑day surgery and ICU as census demands.
The role involves phase I and phase II recovery care, managing equipment such as EMR charting systems, vitals monitors, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, and Pyxis medication systems. The unit operates with a nurse‑patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient acuity, with a supportive team ready to help during training. This opportunity offers an engaging mix of independence and collaboration in a fast‑paced surgical setting, perfect for nurses with over one year of critical care or PACU experience.
