Journeyman Insulator / Metal & Cladding

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply insulation materials including calcium silicate, mineral wool, fiberglass, cellular glass, and aerogel to hot or cold industrial surfaces.
- Read industrial blueprints and isometric drawings to determine layouts, dimensions, and material requirements.
- Measure and cut insulation / metal & cladding precisely to fit around valves, flanges, pumps, elbows, and irregular geometries.
- Install protective jacketing made of aluminum, stainless steel, or PVC to weatherproof and seal the insulated systems.
- Secure materials properly using wire, bands, rivets, screws, and specialized vapor-barrier mastics.
- Work safely at heights using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial boom/scissor lifts.
- Adhere to safety protocols including mandatory PPE, fall protection, and daily hazard assessments.
Required Qualifications and
Experience:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience in Industrial Mechanical Insulation / Metal & Cladding (refineries, power plants, or chemical facilities).
- Material Knowledge:
Deep understanding of industrial insulation types, temperature ratings, and application techniques. - Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces under varying weather conditions. - Compliance:
Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening. - Transit:
Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the jobsite. - Must speak fluent English - Bilingual is a plus.
- Work Schedule:
Monday thru Friday - 10-hour shifts. - Hourly Pay: $23.00-$25.00 DOE
