Pacifi Corp seeks a Station Meter & Relay Technician to install, test, calibrate and maintain protective relays, station metering and associated control systems in a regulated utility environment. You will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, fault analysis and preventative maintenance on substation equipment to ensure grid reliability and safety. Responsibilities include interpreting one-line and control schematics, wiring and panel work, field testing using specialized test sets, documenting results, and supporting relay upgrades and NERC/PRC compliance.
Collaborate with engineers, operations and construction crews while following strict safety rules and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, calibrate and maintain protective relays and station metering
- Commission and troubleshoot substation and control systems to ensure reliability
- Perform fault analysis and relay testing using specialized test equipment
- Interpret one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams and control schematics
- Execute preventative maintenance and relay upgrades per utility standards
- Document test results, settings and maintenance activities accurately
- Support compliance with NERC/PRC and other regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineers, operations and construction crews on projects
- Follow strict safety procedures, tagging and lockout/tagout protocols
- Assist with grid modernization and relay modernization initiatives
