As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service and support to our service operations while working with some of the most advanced machinery in the world. This is your chance to work in a dynamic, safety-first environment where your technical skills and dedication make a direct impact.

• Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
• Work safely and follow all KEC/Customer safety policies and procedures.
• Complete related paperwork and access databases require to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
• Follow contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations.
• Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with minimal to no supervision.
• Ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments with minimal to no supervision.
• Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
• Apply general failure analysis and procedures to determine proper diagnosis.

• Education & Experience:
  
  High school diploma/GED required (Associate in Diesel Technology preferred) with 4-6 years of related diesel maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Work Schedule:
  
  Flexible to work various schedules and shifts.
• Technical & Analytical:
  Proficient in basic math, business calculations (rates, ratios, percentages), geometry, and standard database, manufacturing, and order processing software. Combines data with sound intuition to analyze and solve problems efficiently.
• Communication & Service:
  Reads, writes, and speaks clearly. Skillfully presents information to customers and team members while delivering prompt, responsive service.
• Professional Conduct:
  Maintains composure under pressure, takes accountability, adheres strictly to safety protocols, and adapts smoothly to shifting workplace priorities.
• Workplace Performance:
  Balances team and individual goals, organizes and prioritizes tasks effectively, and consistently meets quality and productivity standards.
• Tooling:
  Must have a complete set of mechanics tools that meet minimum requirements as defined on Komatsu Equipment Company technician tool list

• Clean driving record and CDL (Field Technician only).
• Certified to operate a forklift and/or manlift.
• May be required to complete a DOT physical.
• Required to complete MSHA certification.
• May be required to complete respirator certification.
• Abide by all Company policies and procedures

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
