The Tax Manager will take a lead role in delivering compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of privately held, mid-market businesses across industries like manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction, and professional services.
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
Responsibilities- Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for Partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps
- Serve as a key advisor to privately held clients on tax planning, compliance, and entity structuring
- Lead and mentor a team of seniors and staff accountants, providing hands‑on coaching and technical guidance
- Oversee client engagements from start to finish, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and service expectations are met
- Prepare and review ASC 740 (income tax provision) calculations for applicable clients
- Stay current on tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients and internal teams
- Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and strategic insight
- Contribute to firm initiatives and process improvements as the practice continues to scale
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required
- 6+ years of recent public accounting experience, with a focus on business tax preferred.
- Experience working with mid‑market, privately held clients across multiple entity types
- Industry knowledge in manufacturing, real estate, construction, distribution, or professional services preferred
- Proficiency in ASC‑740 provisions highly preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a team‑first mindset
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high‑quality work on time
