THE POSITION

The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely accounting transactions and reconciliations including posting entries to the general ledger, analyzing data, managing month‑end close processes and collaborating with employees throughout the organization. This position also works with third‑party auditors to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for meeting established month‑end close deadlines for preparing journal entries.
  • Lead the resolution of issues on all assigned accounts and reconciliations to ensure proper and accurate reporting.
  • Identify areas of concern in accounting records and provide proactive analysis and support to the company.
  • Prepare audit schedules and work with auditors on questions.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to accounting controls, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations for cost reductions/improvements.
  • Serve as backup to other roles within the Finance department as needed.
  • Assist with consolidation processes including review and recording of reporting packages from international locations, intercompany eliminations, and foreign currency accounting.
  • Assist with purchase accounting and integration of acquisitions.
  • All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Education – Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • Experience and/or Training – Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an Accounting role
  • Technology/Equipment – Experience in the use of complex spreadsheets and accounting systems
  • Capable of communicating with all levels within the organization
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience and/or Training – Experience in supporting international subsidiaries in a global environment;
    Public Accounting experience a plus;
    Must thrive in a team environment
  • Licenses/Certificates – CPA or MBA preferred
  • Technology/Equipment – Experience with Microsoft D365 preferred
