Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the service industry, located in Westchester, Illinois. In this role, you'll be tasked with managing our accounting functions, ensuring financial procedures are up to date and in line with regulatory standards, and leading our North America Accounting team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role within our accounting team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to our accounting procedures and systems, and to work with a diverse team of dedicated professionals.

• Oversee the financial close process for North American subsidiaries, including the review of financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Generate Income Statement and Balance Sheet variance reports for internal review.
• Uphold internal controls in accordance with SOX regulations.
• Facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are in line with audit requirements.
• Support shared services functions within the accounting division.
• Provide ad hoc analyses and project support to the Controller’s team and other business partners.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting system.
• Manage and optimize the use of accounting software systems, such as Great Plains.
• Lead or participate in special projects as assigned by management, leveraging your leadership skills to ensure project success.
• Automate processes where possible to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting functions.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Concur is required
• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential
• Must have a strong understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary
• Prior experience in Auditing is required
• Familiarity with Billing Functions is a must
• Demonstrable Leadership Skills
• Experience in Automating Processes is a plus
• Must have experience in Internal Audit and External Audit
