Accounting Supervisor

We are partnering with a well-established and growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead day-to-day accounting operations and mentor a high-performing team. • Lead and develop an accounting team, providing coaching, support, and performance management
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting, and variance analysis
• Partner cross‑functionally with operations and leadership to support business decisions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting requirements
• Drive process improvements and support operational efficiencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA or CPA candidate with parts passed required
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month‑end close, and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across departments and leadership levels

Must currently reside in the Chicago area
